January Mark Tomasino was recognized as an Outstanding First Year Student. Mark is the President of Vance Hall and did a fantastic job transitioning the building, even without a director. He is actively involved in many IRC committees, even chairing the food committee. Mark’s Of the Month was submitted regionally. Great Job Mark! Ken Barone is our President of Campus Affairs and he has really stepped up this semester, creating new E-board Positions, the IRC newsletter, and staying in close contact with the prominent figures on campus. Ken has done much for the organization and IRC thanks him for all the hard work! Ken’s Of the Month was submitted regionally. February Sonya Alexander is the PA from Sam May Hall. She is an asset to her staff, as she is very supportive of her fellow RA’s. She is there for them in terms of programming as well as in many other ways. Way to go Sonja! Megan Dwyer is the president of Beecher Hall and has worked hard to build a strong community within the hall. She is an active member of IRC and pushes those around her to get involved as well. Megan is a true leader, bringing structure and stability to her hall council meetings. Fantastic, Meg! Mary Carpino is the VP of Beecher Hall. She attended Hall Council Training and comes to occasional Presidents’ Meetings to offer her input. Full of amazing ideas, it is no wonder she is a member of the Events Committee, working hard to plan fun and educational programs. Amazing Work Mary! Chris DeLauretis is a very active member, both in Beecher’s Hall Council and IRC. He is the co-chair of the Dean’s Cup committee and does an awesome job making sure that everything is fair throughout the events. Chris is always at IRC meetings and is active outside of IRC as well. He is in charge of the Best Buddies Program on campus. Chris’s Of the Month was submitted regionally. Stupendous Job Chris!! Lisa “Lu” Merrill is the Vice President of IRC and she has really gone above and beyond this semester. She has worked really hard to make sure everything is going well with the committees and was an asset to CCSU’s delegation at the Spring Conference. Lu’s enthusiasm and commitment to IRC is contagious and her Of the Month was submitted regionally. Super work Lu!! If you would like to nominate someone you can email Lu at lulabean6@hotmail.com or you can put your nomination in the IRC mailbox located in the Residence Life Office.
