| Welcome to the official site of the CCSU Blue Devils Ice Hockey team. The Blue Devils are a member of the Super East Collegiate Hockey Association and the American Collegiate Hockey Association. Last year the Blue Devils advanced to the ACHA National tournament in Ft. Myers, FL for the first time since 2003 and the Super East League tournament for the 7th straight year (Lost in the Championship Game). |

Career Record at CCSU: 86-60-13 ACHA National Bid - 2003, 2008 ACHA Regional Bid - 2005, 2006, 2007 Super East Tourney - 2002-2008 (2008 Final and Two Semi-final Appearances) His talents as a program manager, as well as a coach, are evident in his success with the Rocky Hill Varsity hockey program. After starting the program in 1998, the team quickly built to earn State Tournament bids in 2000, 2001 & 2003, and advancing to become semi-finalists in 2003. Career record at RH: 53-39-2. In 2003, he joined the Connecticut Lazers Junior B (Empire Hockey League) coaching staff as the defensive assistant. He coached with the Junior B team for 3 years. In 2005, he was appointed the head coaching position of the CT Lazers Junior Minor team (EMJHL). Jim was a four-year defenseman at New England College (NCAA ECAC East 1994-98) after playing Canadian Junior hockey in Ontario, EJHL Juniors in Boston, and for Farmington High School. Jim Mallia Head Coach (860) 416-5301 jpmallia@aol.com Brian Kelly returns to the Blue Devils as an Assistant coach for the 2006-2007 season after playing for CCSU from 1995 to 1998. During his time at Central, Brian helped the Blue Devils capture back to back NECHA (North East College Hockey Association) Championships in 1997 and 1998. He also made two ACHA (American College Hockey Association) National Tournament appearances with the Blue Devils in 1996 (Tampa, FL) and 1998 (Rutgers, NJ).After Central, Brian began coaching with the CT Clippers Hockey Association. In 2001, he led the Clippers Squirt Majors to the league Championship game. In 2002, he joined the CT Lazers Midget Minor team as an assistant coach and helped guide them to a league Championship. The following season, as Head coach, he lead the Lazers to another League Championship. Finally in 2004, Brian was named Head Coach of the CT Lazers Junior C team which advanced to the NEJDL (New England Junior Development League) semi-finals. Brian Kelly Assistant Coach (860) 655-6934 bkccsu@yahoo.com Ben Adams has recently joined the CCSU Hockey Coaching staff the second semester. He will be working as the goaltending coach. Ben is also currently the Head Coach of the CT Lazers Bantam Major team and is the Assistant coach of Windsor High School.Ben worked with youth hockey in Massachusetts and high school hockey in Indiana, and began with the Lazers as an assistant coach and goalie coach at the Midget level in 2002-03, and then with the Junior B team in 2003-04. In the 2004-05 season Ben advanced to NCAA Division 1 Collegiate Hockey when he joined the coaching staff of American International College (AIC). This season, 2006-07, Ben continued with AIC as their strength coach and returned to the Lazers as the on-ice goalie coach for our organization. Ben played his youth hockey in Massachusetts and went on to play in high school, prep school, and juniors.
