CCSU Hillel is a group that has been at Central for a couple years now, but that hasn't had much participation. This year the group has new leadership and has already shown a great turn out with meetings and activities. With the guidance of Hartford Hillel, CCSU Hillel hopes to bring together a strong Jewish community at Central.
Hillel, which is the largest Jewish campus organization in the world, provides opportunities for Jewish students to actively participate within their university. Here at Central, we encourage students to explore their culture and take advantage of all that Hillel has to offer. Whether you are interested in more social activities, or more into Jewish learning and religion, there are activities fit for everyone. Events planned for this year include services with Hartford Hillel, shabbat dinners, free trip to Israel, movie nights, volunteering at the Hebrew Home, and many more!
