Alpha Mu Gamma is the national collegiate foreign language honor society with Delta Psi Chapter at CCSU. It recognizes and encourages achievement; stimulates interest in the study of foreign language, literature, and civilization; and fosters international understanding. Membership is open to all students who have taken at least two language courses here. Those who excel in language are initiated. Program includes field trips, plays, and celebration of national Foreign Language Week.
American Choral Directors Association intends to foster and promote choral singing which will provide artistic and spirited experiences for the participants.
American Society of Civil
Engineers CCSU Chapter, provides support for Civil Engineering
and Civil Technology students that augments the educational programs for
the development of professional autonomy in the field.
American Society of Mechanical Engineers , purpose shall be to promote and enhance the technical competency and professionalism in students; to further enhance the leadership skills and contributions to local society; and, to encourage students' and members' contributions to the wellbeing of humankind.
American Society of Safety Engineers CCSU Section (Connecticut Valley Chapter), encourages greater scholarship and professional and social cooperation among students in safety and other allied fields.
Beta Beta Beta is a national Biology Honor Society. At Central, the society operates in conjunction with the Biology Club to inform interested students about opportunities and programs in biology both within and outside the University. Activities have included seminars, CPR classes, the CPTV Science Fair, the Partners in Science Programs and the annual blood drive.
Construction Management Club (formerly AGC-Associated General Contractors, CCSU Student Chapter) promotes the study of construction and to facilitate the exchange of information and ideas; to familiarize the campus public with the professional character of the construction industry; to expand the student member’s knowledge of the construction industry and practices; and, to promote communications between student members and contractors.
Delta Mu Delta is a national business honor society, encourages higher scholarship and rewards scholastic achievement in business administration programs.
Delta Pi Epsilon a national honorary business education fraternity dedicated to maintaining standards of excellence in the field.
Epsilon Pi Tau is an international honorary fraternity in industrial arts and vocational industrial education with Alpha Eta Chapter at Central. Membership is by invitation to those who meet high standards of professional and personal qualifications.
Eta Kappa Nu an honor society in engineering technology that promotes standards in excellence in the field of engineering.
Gamma Theta Upsilon is a national honorary society in geography which encourages advancement of the study of geography as a cultural and practical discipline.
Golden Key International Honour Society recognizes and encourages scholastic achievement and excellence in all undergraduate fields of study, unites of collegiate faculty and administration in developing and maintaining high standards of education, provides economic assistance to outstanding members by means of scholarships and promotes altruistic conduct through voluntary service.
Kappa Delta Pi is an international honor society in education open to students excelling in the education program. The society has emphasized excellence of scholarship and the promotion of high standards in teacher preparation. Through worthy social and professional contacts, the society has enriched the lives of thousands of students, teachers, and executives who qualify for membership. Epsilon Mu Chapter at Central has conducted community and college services such as used book sales, honors list, teas, recognition dinners, and the awarding of scholarships.
Omicron Delta Epsilon international honor society in economics, confers distinction for high scholastic achievement in economics and strives to stimulate student interest in all aspects of economics.
Phi Alpha Theta Central Chapter, is the national honor society in history which promotes the study of history by encouraging research, good teaching, publication, and the exchange of learning and thought among historians.
Pi Sigma Alpha a national honorary society for political science which encourages the advancement of study in political science and the achievement of excellence.
Psi Chi is the national honor society for psychology majors. The student must have completed nine credits of psychology, meet the prescribed CPA criterion, complete an assigned project during the pledge period, and show a keen interest in chapter programs, both social and academic. Installation is once each semester.
Society of Manufacturing Engineers CCSU student chapter, offers students an immediate opportunity for professional growth in the field of technology and engineering through contacts with industry and presenting technical programs.
Technology Education Collegiate Association CCSU Student Chapter, promotes leadership, fellowship, and philosophical foundation for future technology teachers, through college-chapter coordinated activities at the campus, state, regional, and national level.
Upsilon Pi Epsilon Beta Chapter, is an honor society in computer science which promotes high scholarship and original investigation in the field.
