Academic and Special Interest
Accounting Society helps to guide and motivate students into careers in fields of accounting with emphasis on high academic achievement.
American Marketing Association, student chapter, fosters scientific study and research in the field of marketing; develops sound thinking in marketing theory and more exact knowledge and definition of marketing principles; improves the methods and techniques of marketing research; develops better public understanding and appreciation of marketing problems; studies and discusses legislation and judicial decisions regarding marketing; improves marketing personnel; records progress in marketing through the publication of outstanding papers; encourages and upholds sound, honest practices; and promotes friendly relations between students, faculty, and business people.
Anthropology Club promotes the understanding and respect of different cultures and societies of the past and present on campus and in the community, furthers our knowledge and the knowledge of our peers of different cultures through activities, and encourages others to assume inter-relationships with people of different backgrounds and to be more understanding, respectful, and knowledgeable of different cultures.
Art Club promotes and develops an appreciation of all art forms through discussion, workshops, etc.
Athletic Trainers Association strives to give athletic training students greater knowledge of emergency first aid to post-injury rehabilitation through guest lecturers, symposiums, films, and clinics.
Best Buddies enhances the lives of people with mental retardation by providing opportunities for socialization and employment at the college level by matching student volunteers in one-to-one friendships with persons with mental retardation.
Biology Club promotes interest in biological sciences by planning field trips, inviting guest speakers, and obtaining sources of vocational information.
Caducean Club assists students planning careers in preliminary and allied health fields, and seeks to provide a forum for scientific discussion and a health career information center.
Chemistry Club promotes group activities and discussions in the field of chemistry. It also encourages student interest and camaraderie in the field of chemistry.
College Democrats promotes the philosophy and purpose of the Democratic Party; to further the pursuit of issues of concern to members of the Democratic Party; to encourage the participation of college students in Democratic Party affairs; and, "As members of the College Democrats of their college community about the philosophy of the CDA and organizing them to further the interests of the Democratic Party."
College Republicans promotes the principles of the Republican Party on campus and in the community; aids in the election of Republican candidates at all levels of government; encourages and assists in the organization and active functioning of the Republican Party at local, state, and national levels; and develops political skills and leadership abilities among Republican students as preparation for future service to the party and the community.
Communication Club seeks to provide students with information about current developments in the field of communications.
Computer Club promotes student knowledge in the computing fields; provides the opportunity for students to gain real-world experience in computer-related fields; and encourages interest in the computing fields outside of the classroom.
Criminal Justice Club promotes the study of criminal justice; furthers the education and advancement of criminal justice students; and encourages awareness and involvement in the criminal justice community.
Economics Club encourages student involvement and research in economic problems, and seeks to promote a further understanding of the world of economics.
Education Club provides peer assistance to students in the Education Department and encourages social and pre-professional interaction among student members.
Engineers Without Borders shall promote the well-being of mankind through technology-based solutions; to further our understanding of how technology affects developing communities; and, to encourage imaginative solutions to real-world problems.
Exercise Science Club gives exercise science students the opportunity to come together and allows students to explore the field by attending national and regional meetings and workshops; networking with professors and exercise science professionals; promoting health on campus; obtaining hands-on experience through workshops and guest lecturers; and finding options to obtain certifications.
Finance Association fosters the study of Finance; to encourage excellence, social activity; to promote a close affiliation between students, faculty and the commercial world for their mutual advancement by research and practice; and, to further a higher standard of commercial ethics and culture.
Geography Club promotes the understanding of geography and its relevance to society; to further the awareness of the practical applications of geography; and, to encourage students to pursue careers in geography and its related subfields.
Habitat for Humanity promotes the concept that no matter what your individual and/or industrial skills are, your attitude is what makes the difference when helping others — together we can create an atmosphere and a dwelling in which we all want to live. We further the search to eliminate poverty housing and homelessness from the world, make decent shelter a matter of conscience and action and encourage all walks of life to participate in volunteer activities to better their surrounding communities and make a positive change to the lives of the people who need it most.
Human Powered Vehicle Club gives students the opportunity to apply skills learned in the classroom on the design and construction of a human powered vehicle. The club brings together students from many disciplines to complete vehicles for competitions throughout the year. While working together students are encouraged to collaborate, build teamwork and develop environmental awareness through the use of their human powered vehicles.
History Club promotes interest in the study of history through lectures, discussions, debates and other extra-curricular activities.
Management Information Systems (MIS) Club shall promote a better understanding in the study of MIS and related topics of interest in the field; to further the knowledge and abilities of students with special interest in MIS; and, to encourage MIS ethics and provide a standard knowledge base to the student body.
Music Educators National Conference, Central Chapter 845, encourages the highest standards in music education at CCSU and instills in its members awareness of the music educator’s important role and responsibility toward enrichment of music education.

Psychology Club promotes an understanding of practical applications of psychology in society through field trips, lectures, films and debates. Membership is open to all students.
Physics and Earth Sciences Club aims to enrich members science background with speakers, special programs, field trips, tours, and allows students to work on projects and give demonstrations.
Progressive Students Alliance promotes awareness about national and international social, political, and economic conditions; to further political participation, peace, and social justice; and, to encourage students to be empowered and educated to create positive political and social change.
Social Work Club promotes more interest and better understanding of social work and the broad field of social welfare through discussions and seminars among social work students and all other interested students at CCSU.
Society of Paranormal Investigations promotes research and documentation of paranormal activity; to further understand the paranormal; and, to encourage safe and responsible paranormal research.
Students' Advisory Board promotes the growth of the school and students through the voice of its product, students; to further continue the success of the school through the advancement and heightening of the students and faculty; and encourages growth and active participation in the organizations of the school to help CCSU reach new heights from the inside out.
Veterans Appreciation Organization promotes the appreciation of veterans and members of our Armed Forces, furthers public awareness of veterans and service members as part of our community to understand and appreciate the duties assigned to and performed by our Armed Forces.
World Business Affairs Club promotes a greater understanding of global affairs and world issues, furthers international politics, business and culture in support of its mission. The club encourages sponsored programs, discussions series and seminars for CCSU students.
Women Involved Now shall promote women’s leadership skills and the well-being of women; to further community outreach and awareness of violence against women and the prevention of such violence; and, to encourage the awareness of reproductive choices and to advocate the understanding of issues that affect females of all ages.
