Welcome

As the Spring '08 semester kicks off, the Physics and Earth Science Club is gearing up to offer a myriad of activities and events, available to the whole campus. We hope to offer something to catch the interest of every student, from those who are new to the field, to those who already have a vested interest in quasars or experimental physics. Overall, our goal is to expose the fun side of physics and earth science to the CCSU community, and to help students.

For more information, check out the pages on the sidebar or email us at CCSUsciencelub(at)gmail.com.

Please Note - This Site is currently under construction - most things are working, but a few tweaks here and there are still needed!

Field Trip: Princeton Plasma Physics Lab - Friday, April 11th.

Meetings Thursdays at 2:00PM
Meetings are held on the fifth floor of Copernicus Hall. We usually meet in the Conference Room across from the elevators but have been known to occasionally congregate elsewhere... We are always easily found.

Study Sessions/Tutoring
Club members are available throughout the week to help peers with physics. For more information please visit our Tutoring page.

Upcoming Events

Demos!
We build Physics, Earth Science, and related lecture-style demonstrations. Check out our Demos page.

Future Plans
Grad Night - We are currently in the planning stages of hosting a Grad Night, an evening sometime during the Spring 08 semester where we will invite current science graduate students to come to CCSU. The goal is to have a comprehensive program to disperse information related to applying to graduate school and life in graduate school. This event will be most relevant for those interested in physics, earth science, and chemistry/biochemistry, but will be designed to be useful for anyone thinking about graduate school in engineering, biology, and other hard sciences.

This is a big event, and we are looking for all the help we can get! If you are interested in finding out more, please email us.
