Weekend Reportback
-KN update- this weekend was no war, no warming
-KP was there
-Codepink worked with SDS, etc for direct action
-50-60 people got arrested, most out of jail with $60 fine off the record
-IMF/World Bank protest Saturday, lots of confrontation with police
-Went pretty well
-Girl hit in forehead with brick instead of Abercrombie window
-NC- it is to worth getting hit in the face with a brick to be semi-famous
-Look shit up online, there’s lots there
 
Racism Speakout
-Next Wednesday 1-4 will be a rally to speak out against racism
-gogogo!
-NAACP may videotape it themselves
-WS will speak for PSA

-JVB- idea to do 3800 stick figures for war, war-esque chalk art, rent the mall with maybe some tunes

WRC Stuff

-VP- we should reschedule for different date
-KLS- will probably have to be pushed off to end of the semester

Retreat
-Newman House lets clubs use it for free
-WS went there, big and roomy with kitchen
-Invite other clubs?
-NC suggests separating events, do retreat and skill share separately
-JVB suggests doing coalition building event beginning of spring semester
-VP says we can try La Paloma
-We’ll try for a day with no class in February, namely 15th and 16th
-JVB proposes retreat on December 23rd, beginning of winter break
-WS will check with Newman House, VP will check La Paloma

-VP- tomorrow is Hartford Hospital protest against use of live pigs for trauma surgery, starts at 3:15
-Smash the State, Crush the Cages in Hampshire College in Amherst, contact VP if you are interested, November 9-11, Peter Young will be there
-KLS- Alina Fernandez Founders Hall 12:30 on Tuesday October 30
-WS- something on 9/11 Kissinger, November 3rd at St. Joseph College, Carol Autorino Center, 1678 Asylum Ave, 10am-10pm, $20 for students
-MTR knows where Hannity is in Hartford, Friday November 9 at 6pm Marriott downtown
 
-NC motions that we, as PSA, put forth a vote of no confidence for President Miller
