PSA Minutes 4/4/2007

Sweatshop Reportback

Mike thought it went well
JT thought it went well, but Dan Rather took away from
crowd
JVB thought it went pretty well. Expected less crowd,
so was excited. Second one will go better.
Lindsey thought it was entertaining. She is enraged
about sweatshops.
Maureen's favorite color is poop. Really impressed by
everyone who modeled. Piqued the interest of non-PSA
people.
Kayla-thought the show was "amusing and informative"
JB used to be an alcoholic. His favorite color is
alcohol. The "tag team" was hot. The shorts were not
as short as he feared they would be.
KN thought it went well. Music was a little too loud.
Circle A Matt thought the thing went well.
MTR thought the best part was him. His favorite color
was clear.
CL thought everyone did well. Thought that Wes'
knowledge of the subject was excellent. Took a lot of
chutzpa.
KariS. Thought that it was great that there were a lot
of questions.
WS Thought the best part of tonight was not having to
deal with Corn Bread.
LizS. Gray. Kris came off and reappeared . enjoyed
Kris shakin' his ass.

DO we want to do this again?

JV we should. This was the dress rehersal. Will be
less awkward. Will have more people.
CL We should do it again this semester. Get more
people who went to Dan Rather instead.
MP. Could we do something like this the first week of
the new semester to get the early crowds?
WS. We did flyers outside the bookstore before
shopping time, but we need more. More people need to
volunteer. VP and WS and others doing a lot of
footwork. More people need to take on flyering etc so
that we can get more done.
JV. Get more models who are not PSA people to bring
new people into the organization.
JB. Casting call for models?
Ws. Start advertising for a big one for next
semester? How do we plan a new one?
In the first month it will take forever to get
commitments.
VP. Do the thing again in two weeks. Need people to
design new flyers.
KN Try to use myspace a little more to promote.
JVB Wary of doing this again before next fall.
WS reserve semesters for fall semester for the event
again.
JVB do it on a tues or Thurs around lunch time for a
larger crowd?
MTR it will be easier to repeat this in the last few
weeks.

KN and MTR will plan and organize. And not use
facebook. Motion to do the event again in 3 week.

We have a blog. Email was sent out on the blog.
Paul is still working on 3 articles, will finish after
papers are written.
JB found info for his article.
JVB what is the Military Commissions Act.

EarthDay

Asking forus to pay for the bands? There is no set
value of what we are committing to? Asking for 300
bucks from PSA?
WS Motion that we fund 400 to the Geog club for the
EarthDay bands event. Motion Passes.

PSA Budget

1500 dollars after tshirts.

1100 dollars after Earthday

Can we fund Take back the Night? How much?

Fashion show costs. Overhead. $120.

Reimbursement from NCOR trip.

PSA Retreat. Jean will organize. Further Discussion
at next meeting

Tshirts? Depends on where the budget is at,

Lost Film Fest.

Room will be booked Thurs so that it can be flyered.
