Who
we are?
The African Studies
Association is a student body at Central Connecticut State
University whose main goal is to promotes the consciousness of students on campus
through the study of African history, geography, and foster the
intellectual development of students on the history of Africa.
What we
do?
We travel to close states to
visit museums that have African Artifacts at least once every
year. This helps students understand and appreciate African
history more.
We have speakers on campus to
address different issues in Africa ranging from social to
political, the good and the bad.
